CAD

CAD is the acronym for “computer aided design”. The CAD system utilizes computer technology, i.e. a combination of hardware and software; which enables architects as well as engineers to design just about any product ranging from furniture to airplanes.

The current CAD package comprises of 2D vector base drafting systems to 3D solid and surface modellers. CAD finds its useful application in the designing, development and optimization of products. These products can range from simple consumer goods, intermediate products to be used in other products as well as in the designing of machinery and tools and the designing and drafting of buildings (Commercial, industrial or residential).

Uses of CAD

The CAD system requires a good quality graphics monitor, a light pen, a mouse and a high quality printer /plotter in order to print design specifications. The flexible functionality and versatility of the system allows the user or engineer to view the design from various different angles as well as zoom in or zoom out for a closer or long distance view of the design. All the design dependencies are taken into account by the computer so that as and when the value is changed by the user; all other related values are also changed accordingly. The CAD software runs smoothly on almost all general purpose work stations and PCs. This almost indispensable technology is primarily used for elaborate engineering of 3D as well 2D models and drawings and facilitates the work layout on screen, print and the option of saving that for future editing.

CAD is successfully used in the following fields

Architecture, Architectural engineering, Building engineering, Civil engineering, Highways, Construction, Railroads/Tunnels, Water Supply, sewer systems and wastewater, mapping and surveying, layout of factories, Air conditioning, ventilation and heating, designing of automobiles, aerospace, simple to complex consumer products, building of ships, bio mechanical systems, digital circuit design, in electrical engineering, fashion designing, garden designing, light design, software applications, power systems engineering and many more.

Benefits of CAD

Besides enabling the user to create accurate and fast drawings, the system also offers ample flexibility to make modifications or changes to the design with minimal effort and time. This precision driven tool has found its useful application in many educational institutions as well and its knowledge has become almost imperative for just about any professional who is actively involved in the field of drafting and designing. We can go to the extent of saying that the CAD system has almost revolutionized the design process and the system is well worth the time and money invested. It conveniently and successfully facilitates the transformation of conceptual sketch idea into a production reality. The Photorealistic CAD visuals are utilized in order to get client feedback and subsequent approvals for the project to be rolled out on to later stages. Creation of novel products and designs in shorter durations can thus be achieved if the CAD technology is appropriately deployed.

Outsourcing CAD Projects

The outsourcing platform helps to fulfill the CAD requirements of the client as they get to choose from an array of professional drafters from all across the globe at the cost stipulated by them.
